We look forward to welcoming you to our state-approved establishment!
Your well-being and that of the environment are very important to us, which is why we were awarded the Austrian Ecolabel by the Ministry of the Environment.
We have committed ourselves to complying with many strict criteria and to being checked by independent bodies.
We carry the eco-label because it is very important to us to combine tradition, modern hospitality and the protection of our unique alpine environment.
As heating system we chose for solar energy (for hot water) and for a wood heating (regional, renewable resource).
In our breakfast buffet we use local products.
The resulting in household waste is carefully separated.
HIKING AND SPORTS IN THE MOUNTAINS
Your feet haven’t had so much fun in a long time!
The unique location between the Kitzbühler and Ziller Valley Alps offers a beautiful picture book mountain setting. A hiker’s paradise with over 900 km marked hiking and walking paths guarantee pure mountain pleasure!
Three Summer lifts take hikers up to three very different hiking areas in the Alpbachtal Seenland offering walkers good and varied choices. The Sonnwendjoch chair lift in Kramsach takes hikers up to the Rofan Range, which with its bizarre and rugged rock formations and crystal clear Lake Zirein as established itself as a wonderful high Alpine hiking area.
In a mere 5 minutes an 8-seater gondola takes walkers from the „Familien und Blumendorf“ Reith im Alpbachtal up the Reither Kogel. The Reither Kogel walking area is ideal for families and ramblers. Fun and adventure can be found along “Juppi Zauberwald“, a 2,5 km long circular path with numerous play areas in unspoiled nature and a viewing platform offering impressive vistas.
Shortly before arriving in Alpbach - Austria’s most beautiful village – you reach the Wiedersbergerhornbahn, a 6-seater gondola taking hikers up to approx. 1.900 m at the foot of the Wiedersbergerhorn peak. The „Lauserland“ with an array of fun things for children to do such as giant slides, tunnels for crawling through, a water wheel, a pond and plenty more is right next to the top station. Hikers will surely enjoy a walk up the peak of the nearby Wiedersbergerhorn or a full day tour via the Sagtaler Spitzen to Inneralpbach. Not only are you rewarded with magnificent views but if you’re lucky you can see marmots or Alpine Choughs. Should you feel peckish help yourself to some of the tasty blueberries.
Off to alpine pastures, peaks and meadows!
The Alpbachtal offers hikers the best conditions for unforgettable mountain and natural moments. The Alpbachtal region has more than 900 kilometers of marked hiking and walking trails, on which you can hike to your heart's content in wonderfully intact nature.
Lakes in the Alpbachtal
Just a few minutes from Kramsach village centre the landscape changes. A long, long time ago glaciers shaped small round hills that almost resemble green eggheads. Between these humps water has remained to this day and forms the "Reintaler Seenplatte" (Lake Plateau). It comprises five lakes, on which you will find neither sailing nor motorized boats – swimming and rowing is the call of the day! The particularity of the area is that Tyrol’s warmest bathing lakes lie in this sun kissed spot and thus the lakes are gently heated. How about a dip in the cool - warm water.
Lake Reintal is the largest of the Kramsach Lakes and together with the Krummsee (Lake Krumm) is considered one of the Tyrol’s warmest bathing lakes with temperatures around 25°C. There are well cared for sun lawns, restaurants, buffets, a children’s playground, boot rental and camping sites on site. A well maintained walking path leads around the lake (approx. 1 hour).

The bait has to appeal to the fish and not to the fisherman, so one says. So if you like to „take worms for a swim” or if your hunter instincts call, when a trout jumps out of the water, why not buy yourself a fishing card.

REITHER SEE, Reith i.A.
Reith’s „Emerald Eye“, as the lake in Reith is often called, is situated in the village centre and is the ideal place to go for a cool off after mountain bike tours, hikes or walks. A large sun lawn, children’s play area, paddling pond, fishing possibilities, diving board, changing cubicles, buffet and much more can be found at the lake.

A secret tip for anyone in search of tranquility is the idyllic Lake Berglstein – hidden between Kramsach and Breitenbach. A cosy inn with beautiful Summer terrace offers culinary delights on the lakes shore. A fee is taken on fine weather days.
Tip: Tyrol’s „Erster Leichter Lernen Weg“ (easy learning path) with special boards showing exercises to aid learning and concentration runs around this lake. This is t h e place to replenish body, mind and soul.

BIKE- AND CYCLINGTOURS
The region can’t really claim to be an insider’s tip for mountain bikers anymore since the Transalp Challenge has already been held in the region on four occasions. Nevertheless it would be presumptuous to say the region is overcrowded with cyclists.
So in a way the area has remained a secret tip for lovers of bike tours! Apart from the numerous bike tours in the Kitzbühel and Ziller Valley Alps and the routes in the Rofan Range / Brandenberg Alps there are also plenty of well marked biking trails for families. Discover the region and its many beautiful attractions on two wheels!
